Bond Rating
The City of Rock Hill was recently rated by Standard and Poor's which assigned a "AA/Stable" rating to the city. Please see our Press Release about this as well as the full report from Standard & Poor's.
Budget
The budget process starts in December and a final budget is approved by the Board of Aldermen in March for the fiscal year beginning the following April 1. Budgets are done for all major government funds including the general fund, sewer lateral, general obligation street bonds, police training, and the two tax increment finance districts.
2011-12 Approved Budget This budget is effective April 1, 2011.
Audit
The financial statements are audited every year by an independent accounting firm. Beginning with the April 1, 2007-March 31, 2008 fiscal year the city is presenting the audit as part of a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Audits are completed by September 30 each year.
