Responsibilities of the Parks & Recreation Department include coordination and planning of recreational activities and programs, and coordination of the Rock Hill summer Day Camp for children ages 6-12. The department is supervised by the Parks & Recreation Superintendent. Park maintenance is provided by the Public Works Department. The Parks & Recreation Commission also assist with these activities.
Programs & Activities
The department offers several programs to residents of all ages. Seasonal children’s programs include an "Easter Eggstravaganza", "Saturday Morning with Santa", Fall Festival and Parade. Detailed information is included in the Rock Hill newsletter, which is distributed quarterly to all residents through the Webster/Kirkwood Times.
