Planning & Zoning Commission
Meetings
The Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month at Rock Hill City Hall at 6:30 p.m. Agendas for those meetings are posted at least 24 hours in advance in accordance with the Missouri Sunshine Law, both on the City's website and on the message board at City Hall.
The Planning & Zoning Commission consists of eight citizens appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen, plus one member of the Board of Aldermen, selected by the Board annually. Citizen members are equally balanced among the City's wards and are all voting members.
The Planning & Zoning Commission serves as an advisory board to the City Council on rezoning requests and is responsible for the adoption of the City's Comprehensive Plan. The Commission addresses issues such as revision of zoning and subdivision ordinances, architectural review, site plan review and landscaping plans.
